Could someone summarise it and post the results on a matchstick please?

Matt Thornton always takes three years to say what someone elso could divulge between sips of tea.

"JKD is da pho rizzle, if you do forms you suxors and cannot apply any of the techniques/strategies contained therein because by doing forms you obviously don't train in "alive" fashion because any time spent doing forms is worthless, BJJ owns you . . . "

And then he has a hellofalotta effective, kick-ass information for training.

In all seriousness, Matt Thornton has some awesome stuff. I like a great deal of the Straight Blast material, but I'm still quite fond of forms/kata training.

Thankfully, because of the SBG and people like them, many of the "TMA" practitioners out there who had never "crossed hands" with anyone are starting to realize that the lessons the forms give us must be tested and applied against a variety of resistance levels.

Jeez Man.

There were a lot of people saying the same thing long before God Thornton showed up.

Not to mention most of it's common sense anyway.

Indeed, many were saying such. But, Thornton has the marketing.

And common sense, as they say, isn't that common.

Only a small number of the items there are attributed to Matt Thornton.

The available links are mainly ground fighting material.

There are seminar notes at the bottom.

Good idea. I bet this one goes far.

Which they also said posthumously about Bruce. ;)
