It looks like the buyer did read the fine print and maybe was even protecting other potential buyers by bidding the highest. In his feedback comment, he gives a thumbs down and writes:

"No pic yet, maybe he's waiting for the photo of the cheque to clear. ? ;) SCAMMER"

I've seen similar things on ebay, such as a PS2, but when you read the last lines of the description, it tells you that it's broken and unplayable.
