To be inclusive and not exclusive.

1) Chen Tai Ji was secretive in Chen Jia Gou.

Yang Lu Chan popularized it. The movements are large and some of the difficult moves are abandoned in the forms. Yes, you may always put them back.

Wu Tai Ji focuses on mid and smaller circles and movements. Yes, you may include big movements.

They are all Tai Ji Quan. They share the same roots, theory, and strategy.

They differ in emphasis and some interpretations of the same moves. They add a different flavor or apps for the same move or sometime so different and only the name is the same.

When different teachers have different emphasis and interpretations, they add their last name to it.

2) Mantis is a huge family with a lot of schools of Northern boxings. Liu He, 7 *, Mei Hua Tai Ji, Mi Men etc.

Many teachers include and add his learning and expand many and many forms. A lot of recent forms are more popular than older ones.

However, they still share common roots of theory, strategy and moves.

MA is evolving all the time depends on the teachers and the students or the practitioners.

Discuss any comments on MA politics in general.

If the MA sports are only with rules, then many schools of MA may apply their learning and adapt to the rules. It is inclusive.

If the MA sports are set with a traing system or a certain set of allowed moves, they are fixed or exclusive.

The ideas of Dan (Duan), color belts/sash, advancements in games tend to "fix" a set of criteria for "execellence".

Even though giving the students some credits or certifications.

These are means and not the ends.

Tai Ji started with 13 Shi's.

Mantis started with --.

There are 7 colors in the rainbow. And yet there are many and many variations.

What I mean is that;

Is it ok to mandate that there can only be 7 colors?

And any other colors are not allowed?

And they are not colors unless they are the 7 allowed?

There can only be certain "ways" of strikes (punches and kicks).

There can only be certain "ways" of throws.

These we call so and so.

MA is like any other art forms.

With some training, it is all about personal expressions.

What works for your physique and most efficient.

You practice to gain certain skills, you then apply them the way you want and develop your own style.
