What became of some of our favorite fakes, dubious instructors and the chi master blasters that have since gone on.

I see Gary Rommel is selling Flowing Combat in the back of Black Belt, though I don't think he meets the above criterea.

Give it a week, we'll have someone come around again and ask us about what's his face that breaks the coconuts and stuff.

Somebody that breaks cocnuts with his face? Wow, man, that's too cool.

That's one. So where is he now?

no clue... I remember sometime last year, he took a challenge - he was supposed to demonstrate his chi powers... He failed the test. If I remember correctly though, he had some excuse. I haven't heard much about him since.

which test? the last test I heard mooney took was "inconclusive".

Rich Mooney teaches Southern Tiger/Crane at a high school gym in Burkburnett, Texas; about 1 hour from me.

Every once in a while he has a editorial in Black Belt about no touch KOs.

that's the dude. I thought when he was on here someone posted a bunch of links to some of his videos. He talked about how in the test they seperated him and his targets with walls or dividers of some sort and he got no responses. Essentially the whole thing was inconclusive as far as the research went.

He got no response and the test was inconclusive?

Sounds pretty conclusive to me!

I don't remember all the details. I remember that they tested him in several ways and while the person was able to see him, and to some extant just be in the same room with him, they reacted. When he was split from them they did not react, although he claimed they should.
The person(s) who tested him said that technically it was inconclusive although for the most part at least they could positively confirm that he could not affect someone when they were on the other side of the divider.

He won't be burglarizing your home by knocking you out through the wall of you rhouse first any time soon.

what about the favorite fake from oklahoma that we aren't allowed to mention on the forum anymore? I think they even censorhis name.

EDIT: no, they don't.

MK, Burkburnett? No way!! I lived there back in '75! The only other time I've ever seen that place mentioned was in a REALLY weird book a friend of mine sent me to read (don't remember the title right now). Small world. :p

You mean Gary? If so he advertises in Black Belt and calls his system "Flowing Combat". I know I've disagreed with him but I didn't think he was a fake. At least I don't remember him being a fake.

I don't know the guy personally, but Gary Rommel hits hard. He's certainly the most hard-contact internal guy I've ever seen in person, but that ain't saying much.
