A very simple way to experience a very common feeling of chi is to: take a stick or edge corner of a table, hit yourself on your "funny bone" the tingling sensation you will feel when this is done is the result of your chi being manipulated through external sources. The "funny bone" is in actuality one of our more exposed "chi cavaties" that are found everywhere on the human body. Yes it does not feel good, but of course its not supposed to, this is an improper type of external chi manipulation. This is a very basic and rudementary test. I hope this sheds a little light on your situation. I of course hope you have already done this on accadent before, I dont really want you to do this, its just an example.:p

find a good teacher who is authentic and doesn't sound too crazy, seems grounded and to live up to what they talk.
