A friend of mine was on my computer and went to a lyrics website and got me nailed w/ some "hax.bat" shiat that loaded a bunch of crap onto my machine.
it was so invasive that when, after not being able to clean it, I tried to reload windows it coopted the install and started installing some sort of fake windows. apparently, there was still some aspect of windows still viable and it stopped the install because it didn't pass a 'logo check'.
I couldn't restart the computer at all after that w/o the face windows install resuming. couldn't F8 or escape or anything to be able to get out of it.
ended up installing a second HD and installed windows on it and was able to add the old HD in as a slave and get my stuff off of it and am reformatting that sucker now.
