Does it have anything to do with John Jacob Jingleheimer Schmidt?

nice track NP-

I would add that this is the guy who introduced the words and concept of "kung fu" to the western world.

He was a jesuit.

So, by some degree of seperation, if not for jebus, we wouldn't have kungfu.

weird eh?

merry christmas! :p

Um, well with global expansion... it was bound to happen either way...

global expansion had less to do with the jesuits than the jesuits had to do with global expansion. :-)

I know a lot of people get down on teh Catholic church because of the priests who have a penchant for little boys et al, but they were highly significant, through the brotherhoods like the jesuits, in bringing the world to the front door.

the Jesuits in particular were fascinating in my eyes simply because they could immerse themselves wholly into a culture and truly investigate it and it's offerings and still come out of it a Jesuit.

To me, that requires tremendous discipline and forsight.
