About a month and a half ago I banged my knee doing a diving shoulder roll. Since then I have been bothered by persistent (albeit relatively mild) pain. Particularly when I am kneeling with weight on my right knee. Now it hasn't slowed my practice much (in fact I am doing more working out now than I did before I hurt it) but it has hurt the stability of my kicks and it is annoying having a sore knee all the time. I tried tiger balm and it did pretty much nothing. Any advice?

Maybe rest it a bit. Also, put some ice on it.

Resting it may not be too possible. ;)

However I will consider your suggestion and will see if I have any ice when I get home.

Thank you.

The iceing of a joint is primarily for the first few days. It is to keep down the swelling of the joint during the initial injury state. Now adding ice to it will not help, unless you keep inflaming the joint. I suggest massage, rest when you can, and time. If this all fails see a doctor. Preferably a joint specialist. oh and eat your wheaties.
