Now start the record that "he has never won the big one. . . ." :D

He still chokes in big playoff games. Until he wins one, that's his legacy.

Buffalo Bills won how many games from 90-93....? Nobody remembers. How many SuperBowls did they lose, though?

Judge Pen

And that has nothing to do with the other players on his team?

MasterKiller

Sure, but at the same time...without his o-line, and without Edgerrin James, and without Marvin Lewis, he might not have such good stats, anyway. I like Peyton. I wish he was a Brownie. But he throws a lot of INTs in the playoffs, and that's all on his shoulders. If he takes them deep this year, maybe to the AFC Championship, then he can up his rep. But I don't think Indy can beat Pittsburgh or New England, no matter how well Peyton plays.

I think Pittsburgh will CREEEAAAAAM Philly in the SuperBowl.

Sure Indy has some other good players, but I don't think that Edge or MH would be as good without Manning under center. Manning has done all of this while facing more sophisticated defenses and better athletes in today's NFL. And Manning isn't a physical specimen himself. I think he will lead the Colts to the Superbowl and win in the next couple of seasons. Not this year. I think Pitt is too good. Philly might not even make it to the superbowl without TO.

The NFC sucks @ss. Even without T.O., I don't think anyone in that crap conference can beat Philly. At the same time, if Philly were in the AFC, I think they'd be a wild-card team at best.

You crazy...

Philly would be #2 or #3 in the AFC...

Judge Pen

Nope. I'd take Pitt, New England, Indianapolis and San Diego right now over Philly.

MasterKiller

Sheeeeit.

Steelers
Patriots
Colts
Chargers
Jets

Then, maybe Philly. To tell you the truth, I think Atlanta might take out Philly, anyway. Michael Vick is a baaaaad man and the Eagles can't stop the run.

Excatly. Hell, the Packers could if Farve and A. Green have a good day or even the Panthers: Their defensive line is dominant.

The Panthers are dangerous. It wouldn't suprise me if they go to the Superbowl.

Just bet against them in the NFC title game @ Philly. You'll win a mint.

Well Payton sure looked good today -- Favre had a rough one too eh, wonder if he is done now?

Farve probably has another year in him. If I were the Packers, I would draft a young QB now.

I hope Peyton can get over the curse at Faxboro, but this is the year that curses in Boston get broken.

I think Favre is done.

I'm not so sure Peyton can get past New England.

Foxboro...in January...

I'm kind of looking forward to the St. Louis vs. Atl game. Man, I bet the score will be 157 to 145. :D

given the colts manhandling of the Denver defense.. I'm not sure about their D.... there were some times when they looked sort of suspect, but I don't know their full depth..... there may have been some 2nd stringers in and out of the line up in the 3rd

Yeah, but NE's D, especially their backfield, is beat up. Plus, the weather is supposed to be partly cloudy and mid-30s. Not the dome, but not so bad that the weather will be a factor in the passing game.

True, but that ragtag secondary, while it may have been the weak link in Miami, seems to come up to task when asked, but this is a tall order, should be interesting nonetheless.

New England is so under the radar right now it's silly. I wouldn't be surprised if they smash Indy to bits and squeak past Big Ben to get to the Superbowl.

The AFC title game is the real superbowl this year. I have a feeling Atlanta will be the NFC seed, but they'll get killed by either NE or Pitt.

All I'm saying is, Jordan eventually had to beat the Pistons to become great. Unless Manning can get passed NE (he's 0-7), he'll only be very, very good.

And I'm changing my pick. I think the SuperBowl will be NE vs ATL, with NE coming out on top.

Judge Pen

You're right, MK. Of course a D that couldn't stop the running game and upteen dropped passes don't help either. I think it will NE and the Eagles myself.

MasterKiller

NE put on a clinic on ball control. That was impressive, baby. Especially since the Steelers looked so sloppy. Big Ben almost cost them game a couple of times, so I don't think they can beat NE.

The pats look like the most complete team I've seen since the Cowboys in the 90s. They have it all, even with their receiver playing double-duty as defensive back.

You know that Jest kicker has to be kicking himself (har har) this morning. Two chances to win and he misses both.
