I train in nanaimo, my sifu's name was bob (forget his last name). He was an ******* anyway, i'm mainly self taught since i have an artificial leg, I find it easier to teach myself, my instructors never really taught me much because of my disability. I've learned a hell of a lot more on my own since i quit taking classes wich probably seems strange to many of you :)

I haven't been training for long, only 8 months, i practise hard, and really enjoy it :)

In the morning I do and hour and a half of jumping rope, balance and running. Then in class I am there for atleast 3 hours.

Whole-body warmup (important) - 30 seconds

Sil Lum Tao - 1 minute (but can stretch it out to 2 minutes sometimes)

CK - 30 seconds

BJ - 30 seconds (ie 3 seconds/finger)

Dummy (blurred version) - 45 seconds

Knives - 15 seconds (7.5 seconds/knife)

Pole - 10 seconds

Whole-body cooldown - 15 seconds

As you can see, I spend a lot longer on SLT than the other forms, the way you're meant to.

you'll strain a buttock if you keep up that pace!

Anyone ever read "The Martial Way"? Gives a lot of great insight into the different kinds of training one can do, from physical training to mental awareness training, to ideas about nutrition and so on. good book.

a couple of months ago, i trainned about fours at class and two out side of it, while at school,at least an hour...hmm, so i would figure...6-7 hours a day during the week, and on saturday 6 hours.... now, its trimmed down a bit, a couple of hours everyday during the week, and about three on saturday and sunday..
