Hey Vash, are you familiar with the series of Isshinryu books by Javier Martinez? If so, what are your thoughts on his interpretations of the kata? I've read alot of good things about him so far, but have yet to check out his writings.

Indeed, I am. I've got his book, Okinawan Karate: The Secret Art of Tuite coming. It covers some applications for all the kata, save Sanchin and Sunsu (my two favorites for drilling and sparring). It should be here either today or tomorrow.

I've seen excerpts from both his Seiunchin and Kusanku books and, despite their size, they seem to be very promising.
