General Question.

What is meant when someone talks about Body Shapes in regards to Round, Flat and Straight? Are they talking about angles and positioning of the stance? Or is it the arms? Or both?

Thanks.

It means "no fatties" :p

kidding.

round is "swallow" or slight concavity.

flat is front and back the same.

straight is natural form. as in "straight, but not straight"

Thanks Kung Lek.

Can you give a few examples of how each body type are applied? If a round body shape is to swallow, does that mean pulling your opponent in or receiving his attack by making the back round and chest hallow? How about flat and staight? How are those applied?

I appreciate any help in understand these concepts.
