Yeah another novice question.

Are SNT & SLT the same form with different terminology, or two different forms. What are the differences?

Thank You.

I studied one lineage of WC where the first form was called "Small Practice Head" (Siu Lihn Tauh). Many WC lineages use "Small Idea Head" (Siu Nihm Tauh). But many use SLT to mean SNT. That's because in HK the 'L' and 'M' sounds are sometimes used interchangably (SP)? My Cantonese professor in college was adamant about distinguishing between the 'L' and 'M'. It seems that today most Cantonese speakers will use 'Leui' for girl instead of 'Neui' and 'Lihm' for idea instead of 'Nihm'. I once asked a native speaker here on this forum about this and he replied that it was more of a class difference in speech.

I also heard people say that Yip Man was the one who changed the name to Siu Nim Tao.
