Recently I made the decision to give up red meat. Other than Spinach, what alternative sources of Iron is there for me. I know that I can always take supplements, but I'd like to gravitate toward other foods with good iron content as well.

Cook in cast iron once in a while. If you're a guy, you don't need to worry about it all that much, unless you bleed alot.

Flintstone Vitamens.

I gave up red meat almost 4 years ago. I break down once in a while and have to get big Braum's cheesburger, but man, I dropped a lot of body fat once I went cold turkey on it.

Or unless you're into endurance events. Iron helps oxygen bind to hemoglobin.

I'm good on the above, and I'll try the Flintsones vitamins. What about Seaweed? I've increased that as part of my diet as well.

I went to the doc to have my cholesterol checked and I weighed 192. That's the most I've ever weighed. While, I'm just now getting back into my training, that's too much and I'm hoping to drop weight soon. I've also given up soda pop.

I don't know how you folks do it.

Steak is good. Hamburgers are good. :D

Are you including pork as red meat?

I would suggest

Guinness Stout

oh, no, my dear friend. Cat is too mild a meat for something as strong as a stout.

I would have to say that depends on the preparation. A Stout would go nicely with this:

Kitty Melt

1 kitten (any type)
2 slices of whole grain bread
1 ball of twine
1 slice of swiss cheese
Dijon Mustard & horseradish to taste

Bind kitten paws with twine. Spread mustard and horseradish on bread. Place kitten and cheese between slices of bread and insert into hot waffle iron. Cook for 18 minutes or until all hair has burned off the kitten.

 :D

Are you including pork as red meat? Pigs are filthy animals. I don't eat filthy animals.

Nice catch on the reference! I should have added [Vincent Vega voice] to the 'steaks + hamburgers' comment.
