Hi

Wanted to know before I commit myself to using the stuff, whether I should be eating the same amounts if I am working out at similar levels too, I mean, will the increased energy intake not just contribute to bulking up if I do not increase my workout intensity, or am I off the mark here?

I know there have been millions of creatine realted threads but I just got back to these boards and wanted some direct infor if possible, my main aim is to bulk up slightly as I have become quite toned but get a little frustrated at the barrier reached in the strength and [more materially] the size of muscles.

Vash, get over it. It will always be this way.

Souljah - the creatine will help the muscles to recover and grow, but the primary result is increased recovery. Therefore, you can workout harder and longer and recover quicker. That means that you'll probably want to eat more and therefore you'll grow some. However, if you don't want size, then don't train that way.

I use creatine purely to aid recovery - I don't train for size.

Thanks for that serpent, I dont want to get big really, I just want something to help facilitate a little more bulk and I guess if recovery time is quicker then i'll be able to work out more, eat more and therefore i guess i will see some sort of gains.....

What did I miss with vash? whats he moanin about?

I'm not sure I understand your question. Just take 5g a day in a sugary drink and you should be fine. Workout with whatever intensity you feel like. I don't know if creatine will make your workouts more intense, but it might add a rep or two to your sets. Don't forget to stay hydrated.

Creatine brings more water into the muscle fibers so you'll get a little more of a bulk look from that alone. Once you stop though you lose it.

What you want to do is take advantage of the that and hit the weights hard to stimulate more muscle fiber growth.

Make sure you up the protein so you have something to build with.
