hey kids

i was thinking, what if i take cooffee without the sugar or the milk
will the cafeine make me go like super fast and therefore speed up a bit the weight loss thing?
i just drank some tonight (cos im at parents and they always dirnk it) and i felt the QUAKENING (highlander), no i just feel a little hot really

side note 1: i dont really drink coffee, just rarely, wich is weird for a brazilian, im a weirdo.

side note 2: says a coffee expert that although we are the greatest coffee producers we drink actually the lowest quality of it, since the high quality grains are sold to other countries.

Yeah, Xebs, coffee increases your metabolism and therefore increases weight loss. In theory that is. In reality, there's no substitute for hard work, so I'd say you'd get way better benefits from e.g. HIIT work.

Although caffeine can help to metaolise fat, but only drink small amounts. Like one a day or something, after training. Sorry Xebby, but you have to work out hard first. ;)

coffee is also a diuretic...

so drink extra water to make up for it.

:) Listen to Ming Yue. Wise is she.

I'd beware of drinking too much coffee. Apart from anything else it's addictive and you'll be messed up if you ever get somewhere where you can't have a coffee for a few days. Oh, the headaches! ;)

Also, red wine has similar antioxidant properties and alcohol is good in small doses. A coffee in the morning and a glass of red wine with or after dinner is a pretty healthy way to go.

Makes you wonder why the French don't live longer.... maybe it's just because they're as#%@^$ ;)

(Just kidding, Frenchies!)

Greetings,

That study looks as if they replaced the word tea with coffee at every turn. Coffee NEVER had that kind of reputation; but, tea did. Additionally, there are too many generalities without the specifics of how the coffee works its "magic"--something that one would expect with a study.

So, who is getting paid here?

I suppose everybody is suspect where money is concerned, but a 18 year study by Harvard involving 126,000 subjects carries a lot of weight in my mind anyway. They also mention 19,000 studies over the last several decades that are generally favorable to coffee. Here again everybody has to decide what they believe and what works for them.
