Well I'm not Rene...but it looks something like Yip Man.

Would have to see the photo under a magnifying glass to be sure.

It does kinda look like him, but can't be sure. Who else is in the photo and where did it come from?

It is a picture taken in HK and it shows The Five Dragons (Sifu Wai Yan, Sifu Lo Chiu Woon, Sifu Chu Chung Man, Sifu Tam Kong and Sifu Tang Yick) and their pupils: and one of them looks like GGM Yip Man!!!!

I don't want to step on toes of anyone, but with all the family banquet pictures' I’ve taken, It is customary that the head of the family sits in the fore most part of the picture. .they are also seated... It would be disrespectful if the sons, daughters... sat while their parents stood while taking a picture.

How do you know what the photo represents? It doesn't look like a group of students to me (looks like a bunch of older folks).

It does not particularily look like Yip Man to me, anymore than the person next to him looks like Tsui Sheung Tin.

I would need to see 5drachen_groß to know for sure...

I don't think you can see that much of YM's ears in a frontal picture like this one. Gotta go to his blind side to see it ;)

No, I don't think that was YM in the picture. You could probably put Chow Yun Fat there in the front row and he would look like Hendrik when the picture came out :D

Agree with Rene and YYLee.

Couldnt go to the blindside- si closed one eye first, then both eyes- still didnt look like Ip man. But who knows and who cares!

Chow Yun Fat as Hendrk? Funny!!

Tam Kong was Yip Man's evil twin. ;) Or, was that just the name Yip used when he learned weng chun?! Hmmm. The conspiracy theories ripen . . . .

Ip Man learned wing chun during a secret visit to California.
He combined what he learned from Wong Kim Ark Jr. in an immigration holding tank, full of Cantonese and John L. Sullivan falling back on his bare fist bei jong days. Only a few people know this history. Its all aural.

Thus I have misheard on a broken telephone.

I recognize the two guys at the ends... but who is that guy in the middle? Was that the A team for the Texas Rangers?

VingDragon

that hidden guy is a secret Ninja Ranger, in daily life he is a President of Poland - Alex Kvasnevsky. Seems to be Yip Man is in good hands

:D

ps. joking of course
