You win the lotto? First you want a freestanding bag and now a dummy!

...where'd the stand go?

There's been quite a few posts on the dummy- the best one being from IronFist located
here. (http://forum.kungfuonline.com/1/OpenTopic?a=tpc&s=126197291&f=769195302&m=8021992632) It lists the best wooden dummy suppliers.

Woodendummy.net (http://www.woodendummy.net/intro.html) has a great corner stand that doesn't take up much space.

Peace!
:D

LOL! nah yo, actually I'm not gonna have the time to get to class like I used to, and my free time to train is gonna be at odd hours or never the same on any given day, so, i don't want to have to worry about going somewhere if i've only got alittle time to train & leave..travel time is not on my side right now, so just tryin to make it convenient for myself...i wish i won the lotto :(

Above is a site run by a student of mine who makes custom made dummies with great care.he builds
them to order. he knows his woods, issues of long run impact of weather etc and he knows the right construction angles. He is not into mass production.
The Wing lam Dummy looks good in the pics.
Another outfit in Atlanta makes pretty good dummies. You should find out as much as possible about the actual dummy before you buy. Sometimes arms are not properly spaced or are not level.
Wood can dry out too fast and crack. May have too much or too little give at the joints. A good dummy is and should be a very long term commitment
and of course indispensable to progress in wing chun when properly used.
I would avoid the plastic and door jam dummies
or the razzle dazzle so called "improved" dummies.
