Type in your name and watch it get the results by year and name. This is a really cool program:

Apparently, I was born in the wrong era. I'm ranked 421, but in 1930, my name was ranked 21.

"Marcos", my name is today around on the 450 out 1 million on that list, but was less than 100 in the past. Now it is the 233th popular but used to be the 801th in far past.
im pizzed cos both "Mark", "Marc", "Marcus" and "Marco" beat me, i am the lowest of us all. Ive no luck

That's a good thing, though. Williams and Marys are a dime a dozen - but how many Hrothgars or Boadiccas do you know? Helps you to stand out.

Oh, it took me a minute to realize that the little pink/red line on top of the huge blue filled curve was for female names. I guess with some names that are more commonly used for both males and females, the curves will be more equal. Anyway, my given name peaked in the 1940s, rank 1 then. By the time I was born, it had dropped to rank 5, and most recently, the rank in 2003 was 18. So I guess there will be fewer people with my first name as time goes on, according to these trends. I tried some more names within my family and it's kind of funny -- most of them had peaked a bit before we were given them, except for one aunt, it seems, she was about peak. My sister's children have peak names or at least on the rising (left) side of the curve. Hmm. I may play around with this some more. :)

Type a single "O" and look at the distribution. That's crazy!
