okay, from my limited knowledge of TCM herbs I determined that the chinese names may be throwing you off - these are actually all common items available at most Chinese grocery stores:

Chinese Hibisci Rosae-Sinensis Flower aka Fusang hua - hibiscus flower(?)

Pinus tabulaeformis - Song Zi Ren - Common pine nut - available at most supermarkets

bai mu er (jin er) - tremella fungus - aka white fungus - a white, almost fluffy looking dried fungus - also available at many Chinese markets.

However, given the confusion with the Chinese names you provided, I'm not sure if I'm missing something here...

good luck,

Herbox,

Have you seen jin er listed anywhere? I assumed that it was either an alternate name or a variation of bai mu er, but I haven't seen it in print anywhere.

And where did you find the pinyin for hibiscus flowers?! The closest I've run across is fu rong, hibiscus roots.

I tried digging through the herbal materia medica... but came only as close as Frog has already indicated.

'bai mu er' does match the pharm name for the 'jin er' you listed.

check out http://www.herb-king.com

I always order my bulk herbs from them. Herbs are listed by Pin Yin name only.
