Anyone have any advice on where to get a good weight vest? What brands have you tried that are good, and which ones should I look out for? Thanks.

try a scuba shop. they have weight belts and vests with pockets for weights.

here's the one I'm thinking about getting: http://www.thexvest.com/index.htm

it's a little pricey though.

I've thought about that too. How are you going to do it?

at a scuba shop a weight belt is 10 bucks. nylon coated weights are two to three bucks per pound and they go on the belt. i use a belt with 30 lbs of sinkers for forms work and running. i modified it to accept an "h"style suspender to help hold the wieght up and keep it from pinching meat like the iron baodong nut squisher.

additionally i use hex head dumbells and strap-ons for my legs in forms practice.

most of the ones I've seen that are form fitting for better comfort and less bulkiness are costly. If you just want a general weight vest tho, you can get a 22lb one from ringside.com
