A loaded question as most people would say the school they attend. It's to be expected as they probably woudl not be going there if they did not think it was good or the best. :p

The best school in NY is the one which teaches you what you want to learn and meets your needs. It is the place where you feel comfortable and are able to learn safely.

Best advice, decide your goals and needs then check out a few and see which one you like. You may want to pick up a book called "Living the Martial Way" as it gives some suggestions for narrowing your needs down and helping you decide which style is best suited for what you want. It is not an "instructional" manual but rather offers some interesting perspectives on what the martial arts are all about.
