All the ones at local sports stores (Sportmart, Sports Authority, Play It Again, etc.) are like 11lbs and kinda crappy. Where can I get a hardcore 25lb one like they have in gyms?

I found one that is 20lbs that uses Olympic plates. I may end up getting that one unless I can find a 25lb one.

I want my own curl bar so I don't have to go to the gym on arms day.

^ Holy sh.it that's cheap!!

But it's gonna be $30 for shipping. I might just get the $60 one here that is only 20lbs... but then I'd feel like I was not getting as good of a bar. Blah. I dunno.

Well, if it is $60 for both, might as well wait for the 25lb if that's what you were really wanting.

I just called Sports Authority and he said they have 25lb Olympic Curl Bars for $39! Their website said they only had the smaller, non-Olympic 11lb ones. I guess I'll go there and see today.

^ That one at Sports Authority was like 11lbs. Not 25.

So I went back to the first place. I just bought a curl bar. It's made by Hampton and is black. They also had a chrome one, but I thought the black one was cooler. It was supposed to be $60, but he didn't have any more in stock so he sold me the display one for 15% off. It looks like this:

I guess the difference between that and most gym curl bars is that this one isn't completely straight in the middle between the bent parts, but most I've seen in gyms are. Oh well. It weighs 21 pounds. I could have gotten the kind found in most gyms (they weigh 25lbs), but they were $85-115. For a curl bar, I don't think so.

Then I bought 75lbs worth of plates (6 10s, 2 5s, and 2 2.5s), which is more than I'll be curling anytime soon, but I can do skull crushers, too.

So now I won't have to go to the gym if I want to do an arms day or whatever. I can do it in the privacy of my own apartment in like 10-20 minutes. I'm glad I still have my old lifting gloves from years ago before Pavel convinced me not to use them. The knurling on this bar is a bit rougher than what I'm used to.
