i was just wondering in the movie hero the headband jet li is wearing, is it part of traditional chinese fashion and if so what is it called, or is it just something some fashion designer thought would look cool. thanks

One thing that I noiticed was the symbol on the head band was the same as those on the "cops'" that came arrest Sky at the chess house.
