I think I posted this a while back, but my sigung's book is now out. It's called The Seven Star Book: Twelve Keywords of Attack and Defense by Raymond Fogg.

I picked it up yesterday. Great book! He breaks up the twelve keywords individually and goes through them, discussing each meaning and variations on the meanings. He also shows the Bung Bo form, with a description of each movement, and two other forms (I'm @ work right now and don't have it in front of me so I can't remember the other two).

Here's a link to the book for those who are interested.

Which lineage form & keywords are they? Sounds interesting.

I don't want to misspeak, so I'll have to report back on this later. I'm still very much new to 7* (10 months experience), but when I get home I'll post about it.

The book doesn't talk much about the lineage that the 12 keywords are derived from, but sigung Fogg is from the Chiu Leun / Chiu Chi Man lineage. He has also studied with Henry Chung and Lee Kam Wing.

The 12 principles listed in the book are:
1. Ou (hooking)
2. Lou (grabbing)
3. Taai (plucking and striking)
4. Kwa (hang, blocking up)
5. Tiao (intercepting) Dil (fast grab)
6. Chin (Forward Moving) Jun
7. Peng (Chopping downward punch) Bung (Hammer Backfist)
8. Ta Dar (attacking strike)
9. Chan (contact) Jim or Jeem (Knife Hand)
10. Nien (clinging) Lim (sticking to)
11. Tieh (Tagging along) Tib or Teep (Glued body to body)
12. Kao (leaning) Kwou or Cow (using force causing opponent to fall)
