Noyes was the founder of China Books (http://www.chinabooks.com/cart/home.php), America's sole distributor of books, magazines and newspapers from China for a quarter century. Anyone who has done any research on China or things Chinese from America is familiar with China Books. I used to always make it out to the Mission for their clearance sales. Noyes was an activist, a writer, and a true pioneer for cultural exchange. Noyes was 94. the family requests donations be made to Lighthouse for the Blind (http://www.lighthouse-sf.org/) in SF.
