Five Elders of Shaolin

Southern styles mention that the 5 Elders of Shaolin are:

Ng Mui, Gee Sin, Bak Mei, Miu Hin, Fong Dou Dak

In the history of styles such as Wing Chun, Bak Mei and Hung Ga they seem to back eachother up. But Ive read in Choy Lee Fut history about a different 5 Elders:

Fong Daai Hung, Choi Duk Jung, Lei Sik Hoi, Wu Duk Di, Ma Jiu Hing

Is this the same time and place? Any comment or explanation on this? :confused:

But are these 2 groups of 5 from the same temple, Song Shan?

you had it right in your first post: the top group is from the north, the bottom group is from the south, in terms of language and dialect. :rolleyes:
