I'm looking to begin Kung Fu... any recommendations on a school in San Francisco, for a style that is something like Tai Chi but also includes hand to hand sparring? I wasn considering 8 step mantis... but if you know of any school, any style that is supposed to be good... I'm open at this point to anything. Just want to make sure I'm getting my money's worth and not getting scammed.

Thank you!

There are many, many good schools in the bay area. There is a thread in the Shaolin Forum discussing some of this. There have to be a couple of guys here in the bay area.

There are TONS of schools in the Bay Area, especially SF. I'm sure I can find some info on an 8Step school.

if you are looking for mantis then John Cheng 8 step mantis... hands down the best in SF but he lives in san jose
or if your closer to cupertino then Adam Hsu mixed mantis but has 8 step knowledge from Wei Xiao Tung
