For those into watching Wing Chun DVD's, below are some I didn't see before. I don't know what lineages sifu Michael Wong learned from?

Sifu Michael Wong
Michael Wong originally came to England at the age of ten as a refugee from Vietnam. He first took up Martial Arts as a result of being bullied at school. Starting his training with a Chinese Master in the UK Sifu Wong progressed quickly in skill and after 5 years travelled to Hong Kong and Mainland China to study with a variety of Chinese masters in his early twenties. Training in a wide variety of Martial Arts has given Sifu Wong a foundation and skill level rarely seen in the Martial Arts world.

Competitions
The Master Wong martial arts academy currently competes in BCCMA arranged tournaments and fighting events, as well many other professionally organized competitions. The Academy has a very high reputation at these fights, which has been well earned through repeated success by our students. We have many weight category gold medalists, trophy winners and national champions.

I just watched the video "Wing Chun Fighting Art" Starring Michael Wong. The video is packed with information and has very high production standards. This particular video has an extensive menu system where you can click on Siu Lim Tao, Chum Kiu, Biu Jee, Wooden Dummy, Equipment training, a review of all his DVD's, tons of fighting demos, and so on. Any lineage will argue about some other people's lineage but I never care about such arguments. It looks to me like he is a bit eclectic. The tape emphasizes mainly fighting application which is done in a fast speed with slow motion stuff as well. He does continuous 4 to 6 move sequences against a variety of attacks. One menu item is called complete system where he does do the complete SLT, CK, BJ and Dummy forms quickly and in slow motion. It looks to me like Pan Nam type of Wing Chun done with a lot of vigor. We don't do his kind of Wing Chun but I found it fun to watch. Michael Wong is quite humorous too I find. On his web site he doesn't indicate what lineage he is from because he says this is not important. He says what is important is whether the stuff works or not. I think this DVD is very good value for the amount of money it costs. This video also shows some Chinese master doing a Preying Mantis form and talking about it. He also demos a form called Tong Bai which does have some realtionship to the Tong Long or Preying Mantis form. On the spectrum between Emin Boztepe and Kenneth Chung, this material is more towards the Emin side of things. Definitely he tried to pack as much material as he could get on a DVD. If you are looking for the internal side of Wing Chun then this video doesn't do that. He does review his Tai Chi video where he does sort of a Yang style and Chen style combo in application. Anyway fun to watch.

Thanks for the review Ray. I'd seen his videos advertised on eBay and wondered about him.
