The very mentioning of "Eight Immortals Kung Fu" brings up the topic of drunken boxing; this is due in part because most Chinese martial arts scholars and learners alike associate drunkards boxing with the Taoist Eight Immortals. Legend informs us that the Taoist Eight Immortals were highly auspicious to the Chinese nation from their noble deeds in the physical life. Most schools of traditional Chinese martial arts interpret their own respected versions of drunkards boxing. The Lau Family Eight Immortals style is taught in three stages, beginning with fighting skill, drunken shape, internal cultivation. The Lau Family style serves as a strong pillar in the kung fu community, as the only complete system of authentic Taoist Eight Immortals Boxing, with a lineage traced back to Mount Wu Tong Bronze Hall. While analyzing and pondering all his martial arts knowledge: Lau Chan Mee devised eight core skills that preserved the very essence of all he learned from his teacher Great Master Yue Ho Lung. They are as follows:

Immortal Lam Choy Wah:
The youngest of the Eight Immortals depicted carrying a basket of flowers.
Skill: Chuin or to escape, refers to footwork maneuvers used to position oneself for offense or defense.

Immortal Han Jung Li:
Depicted carrying a fan with his bare belly exposed.
Skill: Kau or Leaning refers to techniques used to close the distance between you and the opponent.

Immortal Cho Quock Kau:
The Royal Uncle who carries the pair of castanets.
Skill: Jit or Intercepting is a technique used to dissolve the opponent attack.

Immortal Ho Sen Ku:
The only female of the Eight Immortals depicted carrying the lotus blossom.
Skill: Yim or closing is a technique used to seal the attacking point from the opponents view.

Immortal Tit Gwai Li:
Depicted as a beggar leaning on his staff carrying the wine gourd on his back.
Skill: Je or Borrowing, a technique used to use the opponents force against him.

Immortal Liu Dong Bin:
Depicted carrying his sword and flywhisk.
Skill: Chi or Sticking is a technique used to consume the opponents attacking tools.

Immortal Chung Guo Lo:
Depicted riding his mule backwards.
Skill: Dou or Directing, a technique used to lure the opponent into a trap.

Immortal Han Sing Tu:
Depicted as the wanderer, carrying his magical flute.
Skill: Toi or Lifting, a technique used to open the defenses of the opponent.
