I'm interested in picking up books (or instructional dvd's but preferrably books) that give a broad or detailed overview of any traditional Kung Fu styles. I already do all the MA training that my spare time can handle so I'm not looking for books that will teach me the style, more those that will explain it from an academic point of view, its history, theory, stances, forms etc. Does anybody have any suggestions?

If you can find it, David Chin's Hop Gar book had a good history section in the front of it. I'm pretty sure it's out of print though.
