View Full Version : Yamato
So the Chinese rebuilt the flagship Ding Yuan of the Qing's Bei Yang fleet.
Japan also rebuilds the flagship "Yamato" of the imperial "Union fleet".
Wonder if the German will rebuild "Bismarck"?
Symbolism or realism?
Comment?

China's having a huge naval wargame right now.
The rest of Asia is said to be a little bit antsy right now about it. :p
The recent joint naval exercise of China and Russia codenamed "Peace 2005".
China only has a coastal fleet. However, the west is worried about the submarine fleet that has a longer range.

And it's a ressurgance in the knowledge of Zheng He too. Some sort of special tracing of the route of the treasure fleet is going on as well.
It's all nationalism I guess.

That model isn't accurate. It's missing the giant ion cannon on the front.
I heard that the model with ion canon can fly in space with antigravitational device of some sort.

looks like a cross between BSG and and homage to the militarism of WW2 Japanese.
Very American of them! lol
But seriously..and old ww2 battleship in space with a blue particle beam weapon in the prow? Yeah... that's staying in a limited release.
