Hi,

I am trying to improve both my fitness and upper body strength. Ive been advised that hitting the gym in the evening would be the ideal way, but my only available time is early morning (6AM - 8AM).

My plan is to go to the gym for 30 mins, then go for a swim for 30 mins.

Anyone see a problem with that?

30 mins in the gym is a bit short for a good workout

why not go a bit early, and make it 45 mins/1 hour in the gym, then a 15 - 20 min swim?

No problem with that. It is a short time though.

I'd say 30 min is enough time. Crossfit workouts only last about 20 min.

I don't see why hitting the gym in the evening would be better than the morning. If I work out at night, I can't sleep. Plus I get too hungry.

I wake up at 5:00 a.m. every day, begin my workout at 6:00 a.m., and finish by 7:00 a.m. -- and then I'm ready to start my day.

If you train hard and don't do ANY yapping (hard to do in a gym, I know), an hour should be plenty to improve your overall fitness and strength.
