If you have a good command of the principles, you may add more contents.

Xing Yi started with 5 element fists, then 12 animal forms, and 8 characters gong. You may mix and match from these already.

Each animal form you may expand.

Each character gong you may add on.

The flow or the change from one posture to the next is also important.

For example, in Tong Bei, there are 5 element palm method. You mix and match to feature one plam or method plus others.

To go to the left, right, up, mid and low etc.

Then you have the 3x8= 24 hand sets. Each handset covers the grounds from 3 to 6 moves.

My point is that you may come up with some new mix and match with a smooth flow that cover some grounds.

Or you may add more content into the repertoire.

Sun Lung Tang added some moves stressing the Kai He or open and close into Sun Tai Chi.

Wu is from Yang and added more small and refined moves.

The horizontal cloud hand or Pin Yun Shou etc

Yang has the 4 direction of jade girl working on shuttle, etc.

And yet, they all started from Chen Chang Xin Lao Jia.

So do you mix and match and add to your style?
