Hi group,

There is a school in my area that teaches Southern Praying Mantis.

What's the difference between SPM and NPM?

Well, one of my mates said that he found southern praying mantis about twenty times more difficult than Northern praying mantis....

Marc,

The best thing to do would be to check out both the schools in Philly and talk to the instructers. I just started last week at the Southern Praying Mantis school, but according to Superpages.com there is a Northern Praying Mantis school at 45th and Baltimore.

Linked here. (http://yellowpages.superpages.com/profile~N_mantis~L_Philadelphia+PA~STYPE_S~TR_5~LI D_oW%2FIgbM%2Bn1KinsO5cYnUfg%3D%3D.htm)

FYI, if you found the southern school's address as 923 Arch, thats wrong. They moved to N. 117 10 St. right above Arch, 3rd floor.

I'd would explain what I consider to be the key components of the southern style, but I think thats best left to someone with more than a week's experience.

Good luck,
J-Hon
