Can someone tell me if and when doing a Cranes beak during Qi Gong activates or connects all the meridians of the hands? If so what is it doing for health wise? Just a soft type crane beak that holds no tension like in single whip in taiji.

Anyone have any knowledge regarding these questions?

cheers
Garry

One of the elements that comes into play in crane hand is that the main energy route on one hand from the paracardium is closed. This allows for pooling of energy and also for activating the energy into the opposite hand which is usually open. This has a different effect in pray mantis were both are often closed. It has many uses in combat.
