Congrats 7*, and welcome to the big leagues! Hope mom and baby are doing well.

Remember when changing 7* Jr's diaper to cover his junk unless you want a wet shirt.

Blueberry Buckle baby food is awesome!

Good-bye sex life for awhile.

Getting excited about a sale on Huggies is very bad for the street cred.

The first year can be rough, don't take it out on each other. Good luck my friend, it's the best & most important job you will ever have. :)

Congrats.

The year of the rooster.

The girl baby will be graceful and beautiful/flashy or stunning.

The boy baby will be proudy and glorifying and not pretentious.

i was tired when i wrote that and it seems a little dismal for such a happy time.

i just meant that you guys will fight constantly and probably break up or at least end up hating eachother by the time the kids learning to walk.

just kiddin.

seriously though .... you guys are gonna be extremely stressed out and will snap at eachother a lot. best thing you guys can do is promise right now to let a lot of **** slide that normally wouldnt. its just the lack of sleep that will make both of you *****es for the first couple months. it goes by fast and you might luck out and have a kid that sleeps through the night from day one. adora wasn't too bad at all ... one feeding and back to bed most nights.

GDA, Those of who have been there understood you. I look at my sons doing all sorts of cool things but I can still remember holding them for the first time, and so many moments with them like it was 20 minutes ago. All the joys, the laughs and the heartaches, I love being a dad. :)
Guys, fatherhood is one of the things that define what it means to be a man.

One of the others is sneaking out to the nuddie bar.

dont eat.

i didn't flinch a nerve for 9 months but once she actually started pushing i was terrfied.

after they gave her the epideral they said it would be like 8 hours and that i should go get something to eat. figuring it would be my last meal for the day i ate until stuffed and the minute i got back they yelled "shes ready weve been looking for you."

my stomach immediately stopped working and i thought i was gonna puke. in between several contractions i actually had to crouch down a bit to keep from throwing up all over the place. when it was over and everything started calming down, and i was holding my brand new baby girl, i made the mistake of looking over and i saw the afterbirth.

the first thing i ever did for adora after she was born was to my lunch in my belly instead of all over her. it took every ounce of will power anyone ever had.

Right GDA. They had me "helping" my wife but I thought it was just practice. I thought if it was really go time then they would have me in some scrubs instead of my black leather jacket. Wrong! Yeah they don't tell you about all the pudding and junk that goes along with child birth. I almost passed out but one of my friends called at that moment and snapped me out of it. :D

Advice: Don't crack jokes to take your wifes mind off of her labor pains.
Advice: Don't answer the phone during childbirth.
Advice: When looking at the gizmo that measures the contractions don't ask if she felt that last one that spiked the readouts.

Yes, congratulations Sevenstar!

Some other considerations GDA and Rogue:

- Don't tell your wife to "remember her breathing" (lamaz classes).

- If you're going to let her hold your hand through it, make SURE you are NOT wearing a ring as it will cut down to the bone of your finger. Think she's not strong enough to do that? Think again.

- Don't talk about the weather. Speak when spoken to.

- Don't ask, "How's it going?" She's being torn to shreds. How do you think it is going?

- Don't sigh (she'll think you're bored).

- Don't tell her how tired you are.

coincidentally, I had thought about kineda, akira, hiro, spike, sanosuke and ichimaru, but she wasn't havin it. I'm a big highlander fan, and duncan means "dark warrior", so I opted for it, which she was against. I picked up a baby name book, and donovan has the same meaning. She liked that one.

GunnedDownAtrocity

donovan works ... its pretty and i have to agree with your wife on the other names.

obviously my input means jack ****, but im just sayin.

kineda is ok too, but donovan is still better.
