Wasn't it you that had contemplated training judo once a week? If so, did you decide to try it?

That was me. A Judo black belt was working out with my MMA club and offered free classes to anyone there.

My dilemma was I was still doing kung fu 2 times/week and had just started MMA. So, when the Judo classes became available, I thought about doing Judo 1 time/week, MMA 1 time/week, and Kung Fu 2 times/week.

At the time, I was seriously getting owned on the ground and wanted to focus on the MMA training more, so I dropped a day of kung fu and started MMA 3 times/week. :P

When we roll, we almost always start from a standing position, so I am getting a lot of throw/takedown reps now. But I would like to eventually add some good throws to my arsenal.

For a while over the summer before i went to the mma place i'm at now my gongfu teacher drilled me and this one other guy with shuai jiao, Its definately helped with the mma, i've been able to use a lot of the takedowns.
