Does anyone remember the DuckTails cartoon? Does anyone remember the theme song? When they translated this show into Finnish, it was called Ankronikka.

The real Finnish lyrics are posted below, and if you follow along you can see what they're saying. But if you listen to it here (http://uncutohh.ytmnd.com/), you can see that it might be English, too.

Your arms are broken! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Vauhtimesta hurjin on,
Ankkalinna
Aina täynnä säpinää on,
Ankkalinna
Arvoitus raukee,
Ja ansat laukee,
Ankat! Ooh-oh!
Uutta juonta aina sahaa,
Ankat! Ooh-oh!
Joskus hyvää,
Joskus pahaa,
Ankat! Ooh-oh!
Kun vaara väijyy takanasi,
Muukalainen kannoillasi,
Mitä teen sen kaiken kertoo
Ankat! Ooh-oh!
Uutta juonta aina sahaa,
Ankat! Ooh-oh!
Joskus hyvää,
Joskus pahaa,
Ankat! Ooh-oh!
Ei sääsket eikä hyttyset vaan ankat! Ooh-oh!

Here (http://ankronikka.ytmnd.com/) is the same song without the English lyrics and with the Finnish title.

Kristoffer will surely appreciate that. :D

The same idea as behind that DuckTails. The lyrics are in English, too.

As a Finnish speaker, can you hear the "English" lyrics if you follow along with them as he's singing? Or does it always sound like Finnish to you?

When he says "ja ansat laukee," it really sounds like he's saying "your arms are broken" to me, but if I'm reading the Finnish lyrics then it definately sounds like "ja ansat laukee." That's crazy.

I can hear the English, if I make myself hear it. It's a little far fetched, but it's all foor a good cause. :D

Joor aarms aar brouken - that's how I would write Your arms are broken phonetically. Of course, when they sing it, words tend to get prolonged and combined, so...

The hat is yours! :D

There is nothing farfetched about it...I heard it all loud and clear...:D

I just have three things to say:

1. Ducktails was a d.amn cool show.

2. I do not like taco Nazis.

3. "Hyttyset" may be the coolest word I've ever seen.

Go to the page and do "View Source." Search for .mp3. Load that address in your browser and do File --> Save As. Firefox lets you do it that way. Internet Explorer might not have the save as option. Anyway, that's how I got the. mp3 of it :)

btw, I'm a big idiot. The show was called DuckTales, not DuckTails. Wow. I suck.

If you reverse the first verse from the Finnish version (http://ducktalesm.ytmnd.com/#) it talks about some nasty stuff (in English).

Man last night i slept at the office, where i work night shifts, on the couch, so about 4:30 am i wake up with this headache and all i find myself singing for the next 40 minutes is "morphine makes the holy known" .
