Hi,
In tai chi, Is ascending the anus the same as contracting the sphincter muscles near the tailbone to aligning the body for proper chi flow?

What are you trying to accomplish? You trying to just use the Hui Yin or the Glutes?

In Tai Chi and Ba Gua.

we both elevate the anus or Ti Kang.

However, there are some difference about the buttock.

One is called shrinking the buttock or Nian Tun.

The other is called slippery or smooth the buttock or Liu Tun.

What I meant to say is that do not protrude our butts or center our tail bones.
