Hi All,

Would anyone out there happen to have a list of the Wu/Hao forms? I'm particularly interested in (Hao Weizhen's) 81 Form, the "old form." But, a list of the "96" or the "49" would be fine, too. Anyway, I'd appreciate it. If you prefer, you can mail it privately to sj52@hotmail.com.

Thanks,
Esteban

Hi Wujidude,

thanks, but actually I have Hao Shaoru's book with the "96" --which is the standard form. I'm looking for the names of the "81", Hao Weizhen's "Old form." I suppose I could just write directly to Jimmy Wong, but I thought someone on the board might know.

Best,
Esteban

Esteban,

I have been practicing Wu(Hao) style for several years from Hao Yin Ru and his students and have been searching for an accurate portrayal, in the west, of the form for a while.

I have viewed both Sifu Wong and Sifu Jian Jian-ye and have found that the style that both teach is a divergent style of Wu(Hao).

It is appears to be similar to what happened with Chen Man Ching's Yang style. Similar to the Yang style but different in its own right.

I say this with no disrespect, but Sifu Wong's names might not be as accurate as you would like as well.

:)

Wujidude,

I tried your link above and it appears to be broken, or is it my computer? I would very much like to see this.

Could you update it if is broken?

Hi Sho Pi,

the link that Wujidude gave was working fine before. Anyway, what do you think about the following:

Esteban,

I did finally get to that site. It must be my computer (don't ya love them?). I would say that you should contact Master Liu Jishun. Upon reviewing the site he seems to teach the most traditional form that I have seen in a while. He also teaches the 81-form style.

Let me know what happens. Master Liu Jishun seems to be quite knowledgeable.

I reposted the two sites below. Both are really good.
