Hey all,
This weekend I meet up with an old school JKD man! Mr. Del Pollard orignally trained with Hartsell when Bruce was alive. He later relocated to Cal. and became a student of Dan. Del was training partner and friends with Chris Kent, Cass Magda, Paul Vunak and the whole Kali Academy generation. A beast of a fighter who is also friends with many of the old Wing Chunners like Hawkins, WSL and W. Cheung etc. from the old days.
Del drives a Big Truck around the country these days. He is 6' + weighting in 260 ish! He is about 55 years old now and still real fast! I met him around 88 and trained with him for a year until he left Boston but kept in touch with him over the years. I have fond memories of his wicked fast jab and hook kick that when holding a shield made me curl over on the floor!
I showed Del the PSWC system as he has never seen it. We also discussed Jam Jong and internal power type stuff. A wonderful experience with a talented man! Del will be openning a club in the Mid West next year and I would highly recommend anyone in his area visit him!
He is the real deal!
Del is going to be doing a write up on his experience. He is also going to start doing Jam Jong daily.
Peace,
