His aikido is big man's aikido.

He doesn't use a lot of connection from the hip when he can get away with it because he doesn't need to.

When confronted with another big man, with resistance, his aiki is nothing special. No, I don't have direct experience but my dojo-mates (a few of them at least being similar size or smaller and strong) do and I've talked with them at length about it and they've showed me some of his quirks.

Please note, I'm not saying his aiki is bad. It's big. Make of that what you will. He's a big man so maybe that's OK. I made of it that it isn't so useful for little people or against other big men.

His website blarting on about how he is enlightened however makes a mockery of him.
