The reason I liked that quote so much is I found it to be very profound and can apply to anything IMO.

Not to mention the fact that you were learning blooming lotus a thing or two in the process... :D

Well, it won't be long before we have direct brain connection to bionic limbs.

Science channel showed a beyond tomorrow show were a paraplegic was controlling a computer mouse with his brain.

Here's a little story 'bout a maned named Jessie
A poor red neck from the hills of Mississippi
Then one day while drunk and p!ssed off,
He grabbed a transformer and got his arms blown off.

Armless that is, stubs, can't wipe his own butt.

The next thing you know Jeesie can't drive his own truck
kin folk say, Jessie what the F_ck!
Robotic arms is what you oughta have
So he went down to Radio Shack and got some Bionic

Arms that is, Cybernetic Organism, Half man, half machine

the Bionic Hillbillies!

the filksong?

I get the Star Trek reference but all my filksong experience is from cavers or D&D peeps

and...WHAT, did everyone stop training at 8:30?

right, figured that...just don't know what 'Borg Style' is.

Every thing that can be geeky has a filksong contingent. I am only familiar with material 'sung' by cavers and fantasy RPG types.

I don't know what a "filksong" is.

"Borg style" refers to the style of a Borg, the half organic/half cybernetically enhanced "race" in Star Trek:

a filksong is where you replace the words to a popular, or not so popular, song with words that mean something to a particular group.

fantasy RPG geeks would take say ''Greased Lightening" and make it about a dragon or something.

cavers would do something muddy with a song.

:) beyond knowing that 'borg' was something to do with the new Star Trek series I don't know what a borg is. I stopped watching TV in 1987 and didn't start watching again till 93 or so. so, I never got hooked on the new series and remain a die hard OG Trekkie.
