OT: American culture question

In the song "Girl all the Bad Guys Want" by Bowling for Soup there's the line
"She wears a 2-way, but I'm not quite sure what that means"
Now, that doesn't travel across the pond, 'cos I've no clue whatsoever what that means :confused:

1. two-way:

A thong that goes up the front. in other words....a wedgie + a camel toe in one pair of underwear.

She wears a two way but im not quite sure what that means.

or...

I dont see why people wear two-ways. I would just free-ball it.

OK, now that begs the question why? It can't be comfortable, it's certainly not sexy, and as you say, simply suggests a lack of commitment ;)

song lyrics typically are meant to give flow and rythym in syncopation with the tones, melodies and harmonies of a piece of music.

often time, they ahve no meaning and are used to merly make a ryhme.

It's using language as an art form more than anything really and barring overt and direct statements intermeshed with tunes, there isn't a lot of meaning to many songs out there. Most are about getting some, giving some, angst, unrequited love, wanting what you can't have, not wanting what you already have and so on. So it has been for the duration of history. :p

a 2 way is like a pager or something where you can communicate with other people. kinda like that tmobile phone with aim. thats basicvally what a 2 way is.

but isn't a pager a 1-way. A cell phone sounds like the 2-way, but then again, pop-culture music wise, I have to be the biggest reject ever for this topic. I have had the same sabbath cd in my car for over a year now, new music sucks:D
