Stuck at O'Hare!

My 1 pm flight was cancelled. Knowing this would create a backlog of standbys I called the travel agent and got confirmed on the 7pm.

96 standbys, a finite number of already overbooked flights. A total lack of communication and clearly ESL people as the flight agents.

The airport is also hot. I expect people to get angry soon.

This is why I A) fly nonstop whenever possible, and B) when not possible, try to get routed through ANYWHERE but O'Hare.

The good news is that I made it! Got on a flight about an hour earlier than my confirmed, and they even had my luggage on the other end.

**** United. The thing that was making us all the crankiest was the lack of communication.
