Fly catcher vs Shaolin San Da team

The 53 year old "fly catcher" challenged at the Gate of Shaolin temple at Song Shan.

He was ignored.

There is a San Da training school nearby. The school was started by a Shaolin monk. They train Shaolin fist and produce many San Da champ's. The school arranged several fighters to fight the fly catcher.

The fly catcher was defeated in each of the 4 rounds. He fell off the ring in the end.

He then donated some money to the charity at the temple.

The San Da school asked the Youth Champ of He Nan Province to fight. They also contacted the national San Da Champ and then the international champ to fight. They are all graduates of the school.

Fly catcher did not make it even with the first fighter which is the champ of the youth category.

The fly catcher apparently tried to catch some name/fame.

We would never know.

It was a happy ending with everyone.

There are challengers to the gates of Shaolin all the time. In fact, there are some students who are like unofficial greeters, guys who are kept around just to meet such challengers. There are some interesting stories there. I'm more amazed that ol' Fly Catcher made the news with his challenge. Must be that catchy moniker (pun intended).
