its a true story on Australia's biggest gangster ever.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0221073/
here is some info I found:

"Eric Bana spent 2 days living with Mark "Chopper" Read so he could get a better understanding of how to play his character in the film."

Interviewer: You've written a best-seller...
Chopper: Yeah, I know - and I can't even bloody spell. What about those poor bloody academics, those college graduates, battling their guts out to write some airy-fairy piece of exaggerated artwork? And here's a bloke, sitting in a cell, who can't spell, and he's written a best-seller. It's sold two hundred and fifty thousand copies. And it's still selling. And he's writing another one. And I can't even spell. I'm semi-bloody-illiterate.

here is the picture of the real chopper:

although the actor eric bana who plays him looks tougher imo.

here is the autobiography on the real chopper;
http://www.chopperread.com/Chopper%20History.htm

he killed 19 or so people.

trailer of the movie:

It's a very entertaining movie, a little strange at times.

Chopper himself is an interesting character. He cut off his own ears in jail. He lives on a sheep farm these days and writes books. I would guess that a lot of his biographical material is exaggerated, but it makes for a real cool story anyway.

Yeah, I saw that flick. Quit entertaining and sometimes a bit disturbing. I'd hate to get stabbed in the gut so many times. Still well done and very well acted.

Apparently it was this gig that got him cast as HULK.

Banna also dd a solid job in munich

heronim-if you want a flick that will kick the shlt out of that, check out "true romance". And yes, it is a kung fu movie, I am not mixing my genres or nothing:D

Are you talking about the Chirstian Slater flick written by Tarentino? It was pretty good, but I don't think it'll age well.

I gotta be honest, I can't think of another movie I would rather watch than that. Well, legend of a fighter of course would go ahead of it. But yeah, Christian Slater, Partricia Arquette, Michael rappaport, val kilmer, bronson Pinchot(Balky from perfect strangers), val kilmer, james gandolfini, Dennis Hopper, Saul Rubinek(the movie producer), Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Tom Sizemore, Christopher Walken, Samuel L. Jackson, and Chris Penn are in it.

If you liked that you should check out Layer Cake by the producer of Lock stock and 2 smoking barrels as well as snach which are also alota fun.
