Razak isn't Ben Hill teaching up in Syracuse? Does he teach xingyi as well as bagua? I've forgotten his contact information so maybe you could post it for Eric.

I'm interested in learning Xing Yi from a good, knowledgeable instructor. Who is Kenny Gong? And do his students that you mention here - James Montalbano and Maoshan teach applying Xing Yi to practical combat?

Hello ascan,

I'm a Hsing-I student and I study under theblacktaoist - www.blacktaoist.com. (http://www.blacktaoist.com.) He teaches Hsing-I in New York. Our webpage doesn't have too much info on hsing-i yet but by this summer it will be jam pack with info.

There is BP Chan - Hsing - I teacher...he is no joke my friend...I learn first hand experience... You can call William CC Chen school...I dont have the number off hand.

There is Li Thai Liang ... he is a great Hsing-I teacher...real stuff ... no mystery and bs talk ... just straight up fighting ...

LI'S KUNG FU ACADEMY
102-44, 43 Ave. Corona, NY 11368
Tel: (718) 651-3752 or (718) 359-4488
Email - tailianglis@hotmail.com
Webpage - www.zenway.com/li (http://www.zenway.com/li)

There is Sifu Rudy Curry - Hard Core Hsing - I teacher...serious street usage of his art...not fancy videos and fake ass seminars...

http://www.steelwrappedincotton.com/

There is Maoshan - Sifu Ben Hill he is in Syracuse.. (you are correct Wujidude - how are you by the way?)

http://pages.zdnet.com/niwah64/Ba-GuaZhang/

Now the people I've mention are what in my opinion hard core cats that not only can talk the talk but can use Hsing-I to the fullest...but don't get me wrong there are other people in NYC that know it..

Also www.emptyflower.com (http://www.emptyflower.com) is by far my favorite source on Hsing-I...

Thank you Razak. I appreciate the help.
Of these teachers, can you recommend which is also good at teaching the internal chi aspect of
Hsing-I in addition to the combat part.

Looks like we have some good teachers in the NY area.

wow what a question...

I don't want to seem bias in my question but truth is truth...Sifu Novell Bell can teach you the fighting aspects as well as Chi development. But as I've learn already its not just about Chi but Intent...how bad do you want to take out the enemy?

BP Chan is excellent for Chi development and so is Sifu Rudy Curry

I've had little experience with Master Li so I can't comment on his Chi developement but is is also a San Shou guy also ...

Look and ask other people about other Hsing - I teachers in the NYC area...

Don't forget though that you want realistic people to teach you ...

Just to add one more to your list of teachers that you MUST check out in NY. Dr. Su Yu Chang teaches Hsing-I, Bagua, Tai Chi Chuan, Baji, Piqua, and Praying Mantis there. If you are looking for the real deal here is a link to his website. (http://www2.micro-net.com/~ycsu/mastersu.html)

Thanks Count and Razak. Razak, you have again been very helpful. You have good insight. Now I have a place to start. I will be looking into the teachers that you suggested.
