Hi.

I am interested in discussing if Southern Tai Zhu or Tai Zhu in general has any connection stylistically or historically to Fuzhou White Crane?

I am NOT interested in the Internet "Flame Wars" surrounding other members of this forum and will not enter into such negativity as it achieves nothing of any real value for any party.

All I am interested in is some in-depth discussion.

Fujian Taizuquan was popular in minnan since before Fang qiniang, it is plausible that the art she practised prior to establishing Hequan may have resembled Taizuquan.

Taizuquan is the mother fist and the essence is in Sanzhan, threfore it is considered that this concept of san zhan is deeply rooteed in the Taizuquan style, thereby influneces most styles in the region.

Yu family patriach in his classic "jian Qing" outlined the premise of his martial practices to align with Taizuquan and Shaolin stick methods.

Thank you for sharing.

It is interesting to note the influence the HuaBaBu/San Zhan has had within the two arts.
